No, it’s just a typical Ontario county road, but the trees are part of the Simcoe County Forest, 32,000 acres planted in 1922, now gorgeous rows of mature firs (mostly) and deciduous trees. http://www.simcoe.ca/dpt/fbl/about

Is there a story behind all the shoes in this tree? 🙂 I’m thinking there must be!

many people in this area (about 45 minutes from where I live) would like to know the story as well. I’ve just heard about it. It would be great if there was a lovely story attached to it, but apparently not. Here’s a link if you want to read a local media report from a couple of days ago (which is how I heard about it) https://www.barrietoday.com/local-news/what-the-heck-is-a-shoe-tree-289872
