The Alpha Girls


Tyrants all, the Alpha

Girls, beautiful, vicious,

forceful, inexplicably admired.

Flying down sidewalks, scarf

tips drift like wings on angels,

displacing air. They sing acid,

scathing whispers scraping

calm from lesser beings.

The mothers preach: they will

be fat, they will not have

a happy life, they will eventually

get their due, but now they

sear the days of other girls

and ruin lives at will.
