Words in Motion

A Poem for Paris

Cinematographer created this stunning visual and spoken word poem encapsulating the magic of Paris only a few months ago.  After the carnage of the attacks on that beautiful city, it’s right that French President Francois Hollande wants a “merciless” war against terrorism.

We need to weep and pray for Paris, but it’s also right to remember the city’s resilience, love and joy.  We are all connected, especially in times of horror.

I believe the world is beautiful

That poetry, like bread, is for everyone

And that my veins don’t end in me

But in the unanimous blood

Of those who struggle for life . . .
